"We draw Yayoi Kusama, concreteness" in Yayoi Kusama Museum until from Saturday, April 27, 2024 to Sunday, September 1, 2024, but are held.
There are many sketches of the animals and plants which we draw object on sketchbook of Yayoi Kusama in the days of the teens precisely and stopped, and there remains. Kusama was well-known for abstract picture by repetition of single motif writer, but accomplished the changes still various as thing which expressed visual hallucination and internal vision in concrete form at the same time as the power of observation and concrete work expression with sketch that we polished early in activity were the starting point of her fictionization.

This exhibition will pay its attention to a variety of development of concreteness work which Kusama produced to date from the 1940s. Including sketching and Japanese painting before visit to the United States, concrete description is frequent in prints which deal with a large quantity of score since we start in collage, 1979 when we worked intensively in the 70-90 generation. We introduce work of imminent motif which it is easy to get close to such as the animals and plants and daily necessities appearing quite frequently in them in this exhibition. From picture repeated cultivation to represent painting of recent Kusama dealing after 2000, image of self-portrait and mysterious person exhibits work group described in freewheelingness on large and small canvases. It is characteristic of Kusama work that forms near aspect to cry only for abstract picture which is All-over style by being repeated to fill the whole exhaustively, and a certain one concrete image such as profile and eyes being described. From pumpkin motif which is one of the subjects that Kusama likes most, installation of mirror room which we produced in commemoration of the opening of Yayoi Kusama Museum and large sculpture are displayed. Furthermore, it is going to be exhibited the world to the public first the most new item of soft sculpture using boat which we announced for the first time in the 1960s.

Entrance is designated complete reservation, capacity system (each time 90 minutes) on the date and time.
We sell ticket only on art museum website and do not sell at art museum window.
Ticketing of yoku々tsukifun is started every month at 10:00 (Japan time) a day.
You can purchase ticket on art museum website until 30 minutes before each walk-in of the day.

As there is not bicycle parking lot exclusive parking lot, please refrain from visit by car, motorcycle, bicycle.
Our art museum does not have space having you wait when plottage enters narrowly. As you can look at display in hall with margin if you can accept within 30 minutes from entrance start time when was appointed on ticket, visit before entrance start time is not expected.
