Manhole lid which designed Godzilla

Near entrance of Shinjuku TOHO Building of Shinjuku, Kabuki-cho, there is manhole lid which designed Godzilla.

Shinjuku-ku decided to design Godzilla to manhole lid which Tokyo installed in ward. In this, design manhole lid utilizing animation comics, here character whom Tokyo pushed forward in cooperation with words and cities municipalities was carried out at part of production, approach to install.

In ward, we did monster "Godzilla" which became known in the world with new symbol of Kabuki-cho to appearance of Godzilla head in 2015 and issued resident's card in Godzilla expecting further bustle being born in particular to wait and appointed for Shinjuku sightseeing special envoy.

By choosing Shinjuku sightseeing special envoy "Godzilla" to take an activated role of the town of Shinjuku on in design of manhole lid, as "International Tourist city, Shinjuku", plan attractive creation, dispatch of further town.
