Honda Yokocho is the beggest alley in Kagurazaka. The name is from Honda Tsushima-no-kami, a hatamoto (samurai in the direct service of the shogun) whose residence used to be present in this area.
The alley is lined with more than 50 tenants, mainly eating and drinking establishments. This area among high-rise buildings still retains old wooden structures as well as buildings used for an old Japanese high-class ryotei restaurant. The alley also connects to Kakurenbo Yokocho alley and Geisha Shindo street.
