Fumiko Hayashi Memorial Hall

Former house where we lived in until novelist, Fumiko Hayashi (1903 through 51) dies in 1951 from 1941 is opened to the public as memorial hall.

For footrail 22 years before dying, we continued living in Ochiai since Fumiko loved the ground of Ochiai and moved from Suginami in 1930.

It is thing by design of Bunzo Yamaguchi who this family purchased the SHIMADZU CORPORATION land in 1939, and let you strongly reflect intention of Fumiko.

As there was limit of the floor space at the time of in one-story house of sukiya style, was built and tied two of life ridge in the name of Fumiko and workshop ridge of ryokubimmeigi which was painter in husbands at roofed passage connecting buildings.
