Japan Olympic Museum

The Japan Olympic Museum is the center for promoting the Olympic Movement in Japan. Based on the concept of “an Olympic Museum for everyone,” the Museum is created through collaboration with the JOC, athletes and visitors.

   

Through exhibitions and videos, visitors can learn about the history and meaning of the Olympic Games, reflect on what the Olympic Games are, and experience, think and learn on their own.

1st floor: WELCOME AREA 

An area for promoting the Olympic Movement from a variety of perspectives.

    

MONUMENT AREA

A place to experience the Olympic Movement and the heritage of the Olympic legacy.

  

2nd floor: EXHIBITION AREA

An area for people to discover, learn, feel, try, and think about the Olympic Games.

The World and the Olympic Games

Exhibitions across several corners show how the Olympic Games have been connected with the world.

By knowing the Olympic Games from various historical viewpoints, you can see the whole picture in focus.

    

Japan and the Olympic Games

The relationship between Japan and the Olympic Games is presented by focusing on past events.

By showing the materials from past Olympic eras and focusing on the efforts of Japanese people behind the events, you can see the influence Japan has had on the Olympic Games.

    

Olympic Games

Various sports of the summer and winter Olympic Games are introduced. You can also take the challenge and feel the physical ability of Olympians by having several common athletic body movements measured in a booth.

   

Fees

Adults: 500 yen

Senior citizens aged 65 and older: 400 yen (proof of age required)

Students of high-school age and younger: free (presentation of student ID card required)

*Teachers escorting school field trips and other similar activities can enter for free.
*For students of high-school age and younger, please ask for a free pass at the reception.
*Free of charge for physical disability certificate holders and his/her escort (only 1 person). Please show the certificate at reception.
