In memory museum (Peace Memorial Museum) of returnees, we hold [peaceful prayer interchange exhibition "wandering story of the safe return Lithuanians from siberia"] until from Wednesday, October 16 to Sunday, January 19, 2025.

At the mid-20th century, Lithuania and the people experienced the times of trial and the loss. Lithuania is annexed by force of arms in 1940 by the Soviet Union and suffers from occupation by Nazis Germany from 1941 to 1944. Afterwards, we were ruled again by the Soviet Union and received oppression for about 50 years.
About 280,000 Lithuanians considered to be like anti-so were sent to exiles place such as the Arctic Circle and Kazakhstan, siberia, and severe labor was forced to. They are detained for long term, and some people who were able to reach home plate later to hometown are put under the observation of the Soviet Union secret police. You had to live without it being possible even to talk about own experience between families with being suppressed.

We introduce wish of their constant effort that is going to live without losing severe environment and labor that waited for the cause of cooperation of Lithuanian national museum, political oppression that Kremlin performed for Lithuanian inhabitants under occupation and people transferred forcibly, dignity as people and national identity in this exhibition and return to the mother country. Even if there is their live proof under the severe situation, the each person's name is memorized and appeals to us who live in the present for the life being existence that should be respected.
