"sanzen - of << tsujoten >> theme display "gate" - Soseki Natsume" is started on Thursday, April 25, 2024 in the Soseki study Memorial during period until Sunday, July 7, 2024.

Soseki Natsume did sanzen in Kamakura Enkaku-ji Temple over the beginning in the next year from the end of the year of 1894 (Meiji 27). Expression on air of unworldliness is founded to most of Soseki works, but experience that returned to Tokyo is reflected best by the novel "gate" announced in 1910 (Meiji 43) by the Asahi Shimbun of Tokyo and Osaka without opening life and realization of this time.

This display to memorialize sanzen 130 years of Soseki. We can see letters which we addressed to Soen Shaku-related material and description about Soseki work Zen that Soseki received instruction of Zen, monk practicing asceticism, wandering that interchanged once. Do you not know relation of Soseki and Zen?

*Group (more than 20 people advance notice required) is half price of viewing charges of individual
*Primary and secondary student is free during Saturdays, Sundays and holidays and long-term closure period of Shinjuku Ward elementary school
*As for the person having disability certificates, free of charge by the presentation of notebook (one person of assistance for free)
*Member of members club is free of charge by the presentation of member's card
