Hosenji "lottery"

In Hosenji close to Waseda University, we reproduce lottery "lottery" (we see and arrive) that people were excited at in the Edo era and we carry out last year after an interval of 400 years and are held this year on Friday (holiday) on May 3.

In the Edo era, model "wealth (see) lotteries" of modern public lottery were popular. We put wooden tally in the wealth box and put stab, "lottery" with spear, and first-class person gets the first wealth…In what's called this,

It is Hosenji that = "lottery" to attack wealth was performed as Buddhism event first in the Edo era.

With the origin "lottery" (lottery) of public lottery which was all the rage in the Edo era

It was called "lottery" or "projecting wealth" in the Edo era and issued lottery ticket which we wrote down numbers and put wooden tally which wrote down number in wealth box, and lottery almost the origin of public lottery stuck wooden tally into the tip with lottery drill with needle and took unique lottery method that we pushed up from box hole.

We can enter in Tang bitsuno, and, in the origin, priest of a Buddhist temple hits wooden tally which person whom we visited for New Year holidays of Mt. To participate in lottery of Hosenji

When lottery participation desired person purchases "lottery" defense (1,000 yen) on May 3 on that day, "lottery ticket" is distributed. Wooden tally and small present of limitation are conferred from the first prize toward the third prize. First-class person can be given "the first wealth" of one year of this year!

On the day, as for the lottery ticket, "lottery" defense is distributed only to the purchase in the field.
